"It comes down to value. It's not about pushing as much into the lease as you possibly can. Just focus on value. What additional service will be valuable for that demographic, and for that resident? If they have a wifi door lock, they have any smart home stuff, it's kind of on them to maintain it, but it's also to the owner's advantage to protect the asset. And so because there's a combined dedication to that same goal, if you make those things easier for the resident to do, they're more likely to do them."
